Iran Warns Residents of Dubai, Doha to Evacuate Ahead of Possible Attack

Dubai: The Iranian army warned residents of some areas in Dubai and Doha to evacuate ahead of possible attacks in coming hours over US military presence in their areas.

According to Anadolu Agency, the semi-official Fars news agency reported that the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement indicating that certain areas within the two cities could be targeted imminently. The statement claims the presence of elements of the US 'terrorist army' in those areas as the reason for the potential attacks.

The Iranian statement strongly urged residents and people present in these cities to evacuate as soon as possible. The warning was underscored by a map pinpointing specific areas in the Qatari capital for evacuation, including Lusail, Al Waab, and Ain Khaled.

This development follows ongoing tensions since the US and Israel commenced a joint attack on Iran on February 28, resulting in over 1,200 casualties, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, which it accuses of harboring 'US military assets.'
