Iran: Iran's military declared on Wednesday that all US bases across the region could become "legitimate targets" for its drones if Washington persists in violating a ceasefire agreement, as reported by Iranian state media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the statement released by state broadcaster IRIB detailed that the Iranian army had targeted gathering centers of US forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain earlier in the day. The military action was described as a response to alleged US "hostile aggression against military and civilian areas in the southern part of the country" and breaches of the 14 articles outlined in the ceasefire agreement.

The army's statement warned of the repercussions of continued ceasefire violations, stating, "The consequences of repeatedly and blatantly violating the ceasefire with criminal America will be that all American bases in the region will be legitimate targets for the Army's drones."

Previously, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced its engagement in a missile and drone operation targeting 85 US military sites, including Salman Port, the US Navy's Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, and Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. This escalation was met with defensive measures from Kuwait's Ministry of Defense, which reported its air defenses intercepting missiles and drones on Wednesday, and air raid sirens being activated in Bahrain.

In a reciprocal move, the US military confirmed a fresh round of strikes against Iran, targeting more than 80 locations. This action was described by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) as an "immediate response to attacks by Iran on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz."
