Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Pakistan again following his current trip to Oman, before proceeding to Moscow, Iran's state news agency IRNA reported, citing the Foreign Ministry. This visit comes as part of a diplomatic mission aimed at discussing regional stability and efforts to end the ongoing conflict with the United States.
According to Anadolu Agency, part of Araghchi's delegation returned to Tehran after talks in Islamabad to seek further guidance on issues related to ending the war. The delegation is expected to rejoin Araghchi in Islamabad on Sunday night. Araghchi's engagements in Oman included a meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, where discussions focused on the regional situation and mediation efforts to end the US-Iran conflict.
Araghchi's stop in Oman followed his visit to Pakistan, where he engaged in discussions with Pakistani officials about a potential second round of talks with Washington. The first round of negotiations, held in Islamabad two weeks prior, did not yield an agreement to end the hostilities. These diplomatic efforts are taking place in the context of a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan on April 8, which was subsequently extended by US President Donald Trump.
