Shiraz: A senior Iranian judge was killed in the southern city of Shiraz on Tuesday, local media reported. Ehsan Bagheri, 38, who was the head of Branch 102 of Shiraz's Criminal Court 2, was shot dead by two assailants while on his way to work.
According to Anadolu Agency, the state news agency INRA reported that Sadrollah Rajaee-Nasab, a judicial official in Fars Province, provided details about the incident. The Iranian authorities have initiated an investigation to identify and capture the attackers responsible for this assassination.
Iran's judiciary chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, has publicly condemned the attack and urged for immediate action to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. Authorities are working diligently to resolve the case and prevent further incidents of this nature.
