Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf declared that the Strait of Hormuz would be accessible only under 'Iranian arrangements,' responding to recent US military actions. Qalibaf emphasized that US threats would not dictate the operations of the vital waterway following a series of US strikes on Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Qalibaf took to the US social media platform X to express his stance, stating, "The US has yet to learn that bullying and breaking promises no longer come without cost." He further warned, "Let me be clear: If you strike, you will be struck," signaling Iran's readiness to respond to any US aggression.

The comments followed reports from Iranian media about a new wave of US strikes late Wednesday, targeting several sites in southern and southeastern Iran. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed these actions, stating that American forces had conducted additional strikes aimed at diminishing Iran's capability to threaten the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
