Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that the resolution to the ongoing conflict hinges on Israel halting its airstrikes without any preconditions. Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of ceasing hostilities to achieve peace and stability.

According to Anadolu Agency, Pezeshkian issued a statement stressing that enduring peace is contingent upon Israel's cessation of airstrikes and the provision of solid assurances to halt what he termed as 'terrorist provocations.' The president cautioned that failure to meet these demands could lead to a stronger retaliatory response from Iran.

The conflict initiated last Friday when Israel conducted airstrikes targeting various Iranian sites, including military and nuclear installations. In response, Iran launched a series of retaliatory strikes. Israeli officials reported that Iranian missile attacks have resulted in at least 25 fatalities and injuries to hundreds.

Conversely, Iranian reports indicate that the Israeli offensive has led to the deaths of 639 individuals and injuries to over 1,300 within Iran.
