Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Tehran is firm on not making any concessions, emphasizing the necessity to move beyond the 'no war, no peace' status. Pezeshkian remarked on the importance of reaching an understanding that maintains Iran's principles and values while deterring adversaries from contemplating another attack.

According to Anadolu Agency, Pezeshkian highlighted that Iranian officials are in almost daily discussions on strategies to move beyond the current situation. He expressed concerns about the economic impact of prolonged uncertainty and the potential resumption of hostilities, noting that the threat of renewed conflict makes it challenging to attract investment.

The president underscored the need to resolve the situation through logic and maintain Iran's strength. He defended a recent memorandum with the US, asserting that it did not contain any provisions that would amount to capitulation or require Iran to make concessions.

The memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US was signed in June, facilitated by Pakistani and Qatari mediation. It aimed to end hostilities that began in February and pave the way for negotiations toward a final agreement. However, talks have stalled due to disputes over the implementation of the memorandum and issues concerning navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global oil and gas exports.
