Iran’s Chief of Staff Warns of Retaliation Against US Strikes on Nuclear Facilities

Tehran: Iran's Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces declared that US military actions targeting Iranian nuclear sites will face consequences. Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi emphasized in a recorded address that any attack on Iran's nuclear facilities would compel a response, regardless of the damage caused.

According to Anadolu Agency, US President Donald Trump announced that American forces had launched strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites located in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Mousavi criticized the US President's actions, alleging that they were intended to support Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Zionist regime amid signs of political challenges.

Mousavi further asserted that Tehran's response to Israeli aggression would be scaled to match the recent US military actions. He pledged continued efforts to weaken Netanyahu's position, suggesting a sustained and forceful approach against Israel.

The US strikes represent a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, which has seen US-backed Israeli military operations against Iran since June 13. In response, Iran has conducted missile attacks on Israeli targets, resulting in casualties.

Israeli reports indicate that Iranian missile strikes have led to the deaths of at least 25 people, with hundreds more injured. Conversely, Iranian officials report that Israeli assaults have caused 430 fatalities and over 3,500 injuries within Iran, as noted by the Iranian Health Ministry.
