Tehran: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the country's political system remains resilient, despite the assassination of senior officials in attacks attributed to the US and Israel. Araghchi emphasized that these actions will not destabilize the state's structure.

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi, during an interview with Al Jazeera, asserted that the Islamic Republic possesses a robust political system. He highlighted the misunderstanding of this fact by the US and Israel, noting that Iran's political framework is supported by established political, economic, and social institutions. He stressed that the loss of any single individual does not compromise the system's integrity.

Araghchi acknowledged the importance of individuals in the political landscape but reiterated that the system's strength does not rely on any one person. "Individuals are influential, and each plays their role," he noted, emphasizing that the political system in Iran is fundamentally solid.

These remarks followed Iran's confirmation that Ali Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was killed in an Israeli strike. Iran's Supreme National Security Council reported that Larijani, his son, aide Reza Bayat, and several companions were victims of the attack.

The Israeli army confirmed conducting an airstrike near Tehran, which resulted in Larijani's death. Since February 28, Israel and the US have launched a joint offensive on Iran, resulting in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and other countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
