Ankara: Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is reportedly not communicating with any party or individual for undisclosed 'specific reasons,' according to his father-in-law, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel. He made this statement during an interview with ISNA News Agency, although he refrained from providing further details on the matter.

According to Anadolu Agency, Haddad-Adel drew comparisons between Mojtaba and his predecessor, Ali Khamenei, noting that Mojtaba shares similar traits with his father. He expressed hope that Mojtaba is 'in good health' amid the current circumstances. Ali Khamenei, who led Iran for nearly 36 years, was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike on February 28.

Since his election as Iran's supreme leader following his father's death, Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public. This absence has sparked curiosity and concern about the new leader's activities and health.

In a related development, Tehran and Washington recently signed a memorandum of understanding, brokered by Qatari and Pakistani mediators, which included a ceasefire as a step toward a final agreement to resolve their conflict. However, on July 8, US President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire 'over' after renewed hostilities between the US and Iran.
