Tehran: Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a warning on Wednesday regarding any potential direct involvement of the United States in the ongoing conflict with Israel, stating that such actions would result in 'irreparable consequences.'

According to Anadolu Agency, Khamenei made these remarks during a televised speech, strongly criticizing Israel for what he described as a grave mistake that would lead to significant repercussions. He emphasized that Iran would not tolerate violations of its airspace or the loss of its 'martyrs.'

The tensions have been escalating since Israel initiated airstrikes on numerous targets across Iran last Friday, including military and nuclear sites. This prompted Iran to respond with retaliatory strikes. The situation has drawn international attention, particularly following US President Donald Trump's call for Iran's 'unconditional surrender' on Tuesday.

Khamenei stressed the importance of understanding Iran's resilience and warned that any US military intervention would cause irreversible damage. He asserted that Iran would not capitulate and that any US attack would incur serious consequences for America. He also declared that Iran would neither accept a forced peace nor an imposed war.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties on both sides. Israeli authorities have reported that at least 24 people have died, and hundreds have been injured due to Iranian missile attacks. Meanwhile, Iranian media have reported that 585 people have been killed and more than 1,300 wounded in the Israeli assaults.
