Iraqi Transport Minister Announces Memorandum on Development Road Project.

Baghdad: The transport ministers of Iraq, Trkiye, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed on Thursday to establish a coordination committee to jointly manage the Development Road Project and have reached an agreement on a memorandum declaration, an official said. Iraq's Transport Minister Razzaq Muhaybis al-Saadawi announced that the parties have committed to ensuring joint cooperation among the participating countries and activating necessary collaborations for the project's implementation. According to Anadolu Agency, the declaration aims to encourage the sharing of information and experiences among the participating countries to support the project's objectives. Additionally, it seeks to foster collaboration with relevant international institutions and organizations to create effective cooperation opportunities. The agreement also includes exploring ways to enhance connectivity for the transport of goods and passengers. The parties have also agreed to focus on making the Development Road an attr active international corridor for land transportation. This initiative is expected to play a significant role in boosting regional connectivity and trade, thereby contributing to the economic development of the participating countries.
