IRGC Claims Missile and Drone Strikes on US Military Bases in Middle East

Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday that it had launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military bases located in Jordan, Bahrain, and Iraq, signaling a significant escalation in regional tensions.

According to Anadolu Agency, the IRGC's statement specified that the strikes were aimed at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, as well as US bases in Manama, Bahrain, and Erbil, Iraq. However, the statement did not disclose details about the specific targets or the damage inflicted by these attacks.

There has been no immediate response from the United States or the host countries of the bases regarding the IRGC's claims. The Muwaffaq Salti Air Base is a notable site used by Jordan for operations related to the international coalition, and the facilities in Manama and Erbil also accommodate US military personnel and assets.

These developments arise amid escalating military tensions, with Iran, the United States, and their respective allies engaging in a series of strikes. Several Middle Eastern nations are on heightened security alert, concerned about the potential for a broader conflict.
