Gaza: At least 97 Palestinians have been killed and 230 injured by the Israeli army since a ceasefire took effect in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 10, including 21 breaches recorded Sunday, said the Gaza government.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Gaza Government Media Office stated that the Israeli occupation committed 80 documented violations since the declaration of the ceasefire, citing these actions as a breach of international humanitarian law. The violations reportedly involved direct gunfire at civilians, shelling, deliberate targeting, the creation of 'fire belts', and the arrest of civilians.

The statement detailed that Israeli forces utilized military vehicles, tanks stationed on the edges of residential areas, electronic cranes with remote targeting systems, warplanes, and quadcopter drones to execute these attacks. The violations were said to have occurred in all governorates of the Gaza Strip without exception, suggesting non-compliance with the ceasefire and an ongoing policy of violence against the Palestinian people.

The Gaza government placed full responsibility for these breaches on the Israeli army and urged the United Nations and parties guaranteeing the agreement to intervene swiftly to stop the violations.

The ceasefire agreement, facilitated by a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, was established between the Palestinian group Hamas and Israel on Oct. 10. The deal included provisions for a gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces, a mutual prisoner exchange, the immediate entry of humanitarian aid, and the disarmament of Hamas. This truce was intended to conclude a two-year conflict that resulted in over 68,000 Palestinian deaths, around 170,000 injuries, and significant destruction of Gaza's infrastructure.
