Israel Carries Out ‘Precise Strike’ in Beirut

Beirut: The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it executed a 'precise strike' in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released a brief statement confirming the operation, stating, 'A short while ago, the Israeli Defense Forces carried out a precise strike in Beirut. Details to follow.'

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanon's National News Agency reported that the Israeli strike targeted an apartment in the Choueifat area, located in Beirut's southern suburbs. This incident is the second Israeli strike on Beirut since a ceasefire agreement was implemented on April 17.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee reiterated the military's actions via a post on the social media platform X, confirming that a 'precise attack' had been conducted in the Beirut area. As of now, there are no immediate details regarding casualties or the specific target of the strike.

This recent strike occurred just hours after Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people, including children, in southern Lebanon. These incidents are part of ongoing breaches of the ceasefire agreement, as reported by Lebanese official sources.
