Ankara: Israel announced on Saturday that it conducted an airstrike on Friday, resulting in the death of Amin Pour Joudaki, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Second Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Brigade. The strike targeted the Ahvaz region in southwestern Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Amin Pour Joudaki was responsible for coordinating numerous drone launches directed at Israeli territory. The Israeli authorities communicated this information through a statement on the social media platform X.

Hostilities between the two nations intensified on June 13, when Israel initiated airstrikes on multiple sites within Iran, targeting military and nuclear facilities. These actions provoked retaliatory strikes from Tehran, escalating the conflict further.

Since the onset of these hostilities, Israeli officials have reported that at least 25 individuals have lost their lives, and hundreds have been injured due to Iranian missile attacks. Conversely, Iranian media reports indicate that 639 people have been killed and over 1,300 wounded in the ongoing Israeli assaults.
