Gaza city: At least 20 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in a new wave of attacks across the Gaza Strip, medics reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, a medical source stated that three individuals died in Israeli artillery shelling targeting the towns of Jabalia and Jabalia al-Nazla in northern Gaza. Additionally, three more Palestinians were killed and others injured when the Israeli army opened fire on civilians waiting for aid delivery in northwestern Gaza.

In Gaza City, a woman lost her life when Israeli forces struck a school in the Zeitoun neighborhood, and Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike near Al-Shafi'i Mosque. The Israeli army also shelled a civilian gathering in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in six fatalities, according to medics.

Four more casualties were reported when Israeli forces targeted a crowd waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza. A Palestinian man was also killed, and several others were wounded while waiting for aid near a distribution center north of Rafah in southern Gaza. In another airstrike targeting a tent sheltering displaced families west of Khan Younis, two children were killed.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolished several residential buildings in Jabalia, as well as in the Zeitoun and Shejaiya neighborhoods in northern Gaza. The attacks are part of the Israeli army's plan to occupy Gaza City and a broader strategy to reoccupy the entire Gaza Strip.

The humanitarian situation has been dire, with the United Nations' Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) confirming that famine has taken hold in northern Gaza. Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza, severely limiting the entry of humanitarian aid, which falls short of meeting the basic needs of the 2.4 million residents.

Israel's military campaign has resulted in the deaths of over 62,600 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
