Ankara:Israel is preparing for potential military action against Iran, either in coordination with the United States or independently, as reported by Israeli media on Monday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israel Hayom newspaper detailed that the Israeli army is gearing up for a possible attack on Iran. This preparation involves maintaining close intelligence and operational cooperation with the US military. The newspaper also indicated that Israel is readying itself for potential preemptive actions or responses to any Iranian attacks, though it assessed the likelihood of an Israeli or US attack before the upcoming US midterm elections in November as relatively low.
The newspaper emphasized that Iran's nuclear program remains a significant concern for Israel. Additionally, the Israeli news website Walla reported on Sunday that the US is preparing to send additional forces and aircraft to Israel in the coming weeks in light of potential escalation in the Middle East. Currently, around 3,000 US military personnel are deployed across Israel, including those operating air defense systems, as well as pilots, support crews, and logistics personnel. The arrival of more US forces and aircraft is anticipated as Washington seeks to bolster its military presence in the region.
The Israeli military continues its preparations for a possible confrontation with Iran or a rapid escalation of regional tensions, maintaining close coordination with the US Central Command (CENTCOM). These developments occur as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed Tehran's readiness to pursue diplomacy for a 'fair solution,' having presented seven conditions to Washington through Qatari mediators during meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in late September. However, US President Donald Trump later stated that Washington had not accepted the Iranian conditions.
