Tehran: The Israeli army announced Saturday that it conducted airstrikes aimed at ballistic missile production sites associated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tehran. This action is part of a series of US-Israeli attacks on Iran that have been ongoing since February 28.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army's statement detailed that the air force executed "a wide-scale strike sortie" targeting facilities dedicated to the manufacturing of ballistic missiles. Among the sites reportedly hit was a central IRGC compound involved in the production and development of ballistic missile components.

Additionally, the army's statement mentioned that the strikes targeted a compound managed by the Defense Ministry, which is responsible for the production of missile fuel. The operation also included strikes on several air defense systems linked to the "Iranian regime" that were reportedly deployed throughout Tehran.

The series of strikes by the US and Israel began on February 28, prompting Tehran to respond with repeated drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
