Beirut: An Israeli airstrike in eastern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including two children, as reported by the state-run National News Agency (NNA).
According to Anadolu Agency, the unexpected strike targeted a residential house in the town of Mashghara. This incident is part of a broader escalation in regional tensions following US and Israeli military actions against Iran, which began on February 28. In response, Tehran has conducted retaliatory strikes on Israel and other regional nations, including those in the Gulf with US military bases.
Israel has also intensified its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement reached with the group in late 2024.
