Israeli Airstrike Targets Central Gaza Refugee Camp, Killing Six

Gaza: At least six individuals lost their lives and several others sustained injuries following an Israeli airstrike on a police station located in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, as reported by Palestinian media early Saturday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli warplanes targeted the police facility within the camp, marking another breach of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. The strike claimed six lives, including Mohammed Sayyid, an employee of Al-Aqsa TV, and left numerous others injured.

The Israeli military has yet to issue a statement regarding the airstrike. The attack adds to the ongoing tension in the region, where hostilities have persisted despite the ceasefire.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that at least 738 Palestinians have died, and 2,036 others have been injured due to nearly daily Israeli attacks, which have violated the ceasefire established in October 2025. This ceasefire was a response to a prolonged and devastating conflict that resulted in over 72,000 Palestinian deaths, more than 172,000 injuries, and severe destruction of about 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure.
