Khuzestan: Israeli fighter jets targeted several areas in the Khuzestan province of southwestern Iran on Friday evening, as reported by local media. These strikes are part of ongoing hostilities that began in mid-June.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli attacks commenced around 3 pm local time (1130GMT), with strikes hitting a location near Sepidar in Ahvaz. Additionally, Mahshahr, an area around the town of Madani, was reported to have been attacked. Another strike targeted an agricultural well in the city of Andimeshk, resulting in civilian casualties, as per Mehr News Agency.

The conflict initially escalated on June 13, when Israel conducted airstrikes on various sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, which led to retaliatory strikes from Tehran. Israeli authorities have reported that at least 25 Israelis have been killed and hundreds injured due to Iranian missile attacks since the conflict began.

In contrast, Iranian media reports indicate that the Israeli assaults have resulted in 639 Iranian deaths and over 1,300 injuries. The ongoing violence continues to escalate tensions in the region.
