Gaza City: At least 30 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in fresh airstrikes by Israeli warplanes on Tuesday in the Gaza Strip, medics reported. The strikes targeted several locations, including a school operated by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Bureij refugee camp, which was housing dozens of families.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli fighter jets targeted the school, resulting in the deaths of 17 people and causing injuries to others. Additionally, an Israeli helicopter gunship struck a home in the central city of Deir al-Balah, leading to the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several more.

A medical source informed Anadolu that a girl was killed in an attack on a tent for displaced people in western Khan Younis. Similarly, a Palestinian died, and several others were injured in the Al-Fukhari area in southeastern Khan Younis.

Further, a civilian was killed in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area in the southwestern part of the city. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, an airstrike claimed the lives of two Palestinians, including a woman. Another attack in Beit Hanoun resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries.

The northern town of Beit Lahia witnessed two separate attacks, each resulting in civilian casualties. Two individuals succumbed to injuries from prior strikes in the region. Despite the heavy artillery shelling by Israeli forces, particularly in Abasan al Kabira town, details about injuries remain unclear.

Field sources reported to Anadolu that Israeli forces continued to shell several areas, including eastern Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Beit Lahia. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 52,600 Palestinian casualties since October 2023, with women and children being the majority of the victims.

The International Criminal Court previously issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its actions in the enclave.
