Beirut: At least seven individuals lost their lives and more than 20 sustained injuries as Israeli airstrikes targeted several locations in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning. Lebanese official sources reported these fatalities as Israel persisted in violating a US-brokered framework agreement on a daily basis.

According to Anadolu Agency, the latest attacks resulted in injuries to Al-Manar correspondent Ali Shbib and an accompanying cameraman during an Israeli strike on the city of Nabatieh, as reported by Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA). The Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center confirmed two fatalities and two injuries in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, while eight others, including a woman and a girl, were injured in Nabatieh's Al-Rahibat neighborhood.

In Arab Salim, two women were killed, and six individuals, including two girls, suffered injuries. Additionally, four women were wounded in Kfar Remman. NNA previously reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a house in Arab Salim, resulting in two women's deaths and injuries to six people, who were subsequently transported to hospitals in Nabatieh.

The agency noted that Israeli warplanes also destroyed another house in Arab Salim. NNA detailed a series of Israeli strikes on various areas in southern Lebanon since the early morning. One of the targets was the residence of Ali Moallem, the former mayor of Kfar Remman, near Nabatieh's industrial area, which left several people injured.

NNA further reported an Israeli drone missile attack on a car near the Fakhr al-Din parking lot in Nabatieh, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The escalation of Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon follows the Israeli army's claim of intercepting a drone allegedly launched by Hezbollah toward its forces in a 'security zone' in southern Lebanon.

These airstrikes continue despite a US-sponsored framework agreement, signed on June 26, which outlines a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory in exchange for deploying the Lebanese army. Since March 2, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have resulted in 4,362 deaths, 12,378 injuries, and the displacement of over 1 million people, as reported by Lebanese authorities.

Israel maintains its occupation of parts of southern Lebanon, including long-held territories and those occupied during the 2023-2024 conflict. Israeli forces have advanced over 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory during the ongoing conflict.
