Tyre: The Israeli army carried out airstrikes and set fire to homes in southern Lebanon on Thursday, continuing its violations of the ceasefire agreement, Lebanon's National News Agency reported. The offensives targeted the towns of Majdal Zoun and Al-Mansouri in the South Governorate, as well as nearby valleys. Overnight, Israeli aircraft launched two waves of strikes on Al-Mansouri, with explosions heard in the city of Tyre.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam rejected Israel's justifications for the destruction of villages and towns, arguing that labeling entire villages as Hezbollah military facilities lacks logical basis and constitutes a serious breach of international law. Salam accused Israel of conducting attacks, incursions, and bulldozing operations, leading to the destruction of homes, neighborhoods, infrastructure, government buildings, and places of worship.

The Lebanese army also reported on Wednesday that the ongoing Israeli attacks in the south are hindering its deployment and the return of residents. The army highlighted that Israeli forces have been detonating civilian facilities and homes in Eastern Zawtar in the Nabatieh province.

Despite the signing of a framework agreement between Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, under U.S. sponsorship, Israel continues its assault on Lebanon, which began on March 2. The conflict has resulted in 4,335 deaths and 12,277 injuries. The agreement calls for a phased Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories and the deployment of the Lebanese army, along with the disarmament of armed groups, including Hezbollah.

Israel maintains control over certain areas in southern Lebanon, some occupied for decades and others since the previous war between 2023 and 2024. During the current assault, Israeli forces have advanced more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory.
