Tel Aviv: Israeli warplanes conducted multiple strikes against military installations in southwestern Iran, as reported by an Israeli army spokesman on Saturday. The strikes, described as targeting strategic military sites, have left the extent of casualties and damage uncertain.

According to Anadolu Agency, explosions were heard in the southwestern Iranian cities of Ahvaz and Mahshahr, located in Khuzestan Province. Reports indicate that air defense systems in these areas were activated, suggesting a potential aerial threat or attack. The Israeli army's statement specified that approximately 30 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, under the direction of army intelligence, struck dozens of military targets in the Ahvaz area using over 50 munitions.

The Israeli military claimed that the targets included missile launchers, radar detection system sites, and other military infrastructure. The hostilities began on June 13 when Israel initiated airstrikes across Iran, targeting military and nuclear facilities, which led to retaliatory strikes from Tehran.

Israeli authorities have reported at least 25 fatalities and hundreds of injuries resulting from Iranian missile attacks. In contrast, the Iranian Health Ministry reported 430 deaths and over 3,500 injuries due to the Israeli assault.
