Gaza City: The Israeli army launched fresh airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 more Palestinians, according to medics. Six members of the same family were reported killed when an Israeli warplane targeted a house in the northern town of Beit Lahia.

According to Anadolu Agency, four additional casualties occurred when fighter jets attacked a group of civilians near a shelter center in northwestern Gaza City. A former football player was among those killed in another airstrike on a gathering in western Gaza City.

In the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City, a drone strike claimed the lives of two individuals and left several others injured as they were gathering firewood. Another strike took place in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing one person and resulting in three more Palestinians succumbing to wounds from earlier airstrikes in the same city.

An Israeli airstrike on the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis killed six Palestinians, including three children, and injured 12 others while they were in tents sheltering displaced families. Artillery shelling in the southern Gaza region near University College resulted in one death and multiple injuries. Israeli gunboats also fired towards the coastal areas of Gaza City, though no injuries were reported at the time.

Witnesses reported further artillery shelling in the eastern areas of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza and the southern city of Rafah. The Israeli army's renewed assault on Gaza, which began on March 18, has led to nearly 1,400 deaths, over 3,600 injuries, and the breakdown of a January ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently pledged to intensify attacks on Gaza amid efforts to implement US President Donald Trump's plan for displacing Palestinians from the enclave. Since October 2023, the Israeli onslaught has resulted in over 50,800 Palestinian deaths, predominantly women and children.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice due to its military actions in the enclave.
