Israeli Army Claims Interception of Four Drones from Yemen

Tel aviv: The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that it successfully intercepted four drones launched by the Houthi group from Yemen. The military operation saw three of these unmanned aerial vehicles shot down over Eilat, located in southern Israel. The interception triggered air-raid sirens across the area. The fourth drone was reportedly intercepted outside the nation's borders. No reports of injuries or damage followed the incident.

According to Anadolu Agency, there has been no immediate response from the Houthi group regarding the Israeli army's claims. These events come amidst a backdrop of escalating tensions between the Houthis and Israel, with both parties exchanging attacks in recent months. The rise in hostilities is linked to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, where an alarming 67,100 people have been reported killed since October 2023.
