Quneitra: The Israeli army opened machine-gun fire toward areas in Syria's southern Quneitra countryside on Friday, as reported by official Syrian media. The state-run Al-Ikhbariya noted that the gunfire was directed from the Western Tal Ahmar position towards the Eastern Tal Ahmar in the southern rural Quneitra province. No casualties were immediately reported following the incident.

According to Anadolu Agency, there was no immediate comment from either the Israeli army or Syrian authorities regarding the media report. In recent weeks, Israeli forces have been conducting near-daily incursions in southern Syria, particularly in the Quneitra province. These operations have included arrests, the establishment of checkpoints, and the destruction of forested areas, actions that have heightened local discontent toward Israel.

The incursions are part of a broader pattern in which Israeli forces have repeatedly entered Syrian territory and launched airstrikes.
