Beirut: The Israeli army issued evacuation orders on Friday to residents of certain neighborhoods in Beirut's southern suburbs as Israel continued its air and ground attacks on the country. According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that the evacuation orders were directed at areas near facilities and interests belonging to Hezbollah, which the Israeli army plans to target soon. The neighborhoods affected by these orders include Haret Hreik and Tahouitat al-Ghadir, which are densely populated by Lebanese civilians. The spokesperson emphasized the urgency of the situation, urging residents to "immediately evacuate these buildings and adjacent structures and distance themselves by at least 500 meters (1,640 feet)." This directive comes amidst a massive air campaign launched by Israel in Lebanon, purportedly targeting Hezbollah sites. This escalation follows a year of cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah, intensified by Israel's recent offensive on Gaza. Leb anese health authorities have reported that more than 2,800 people have been killed and nearly 13,000 injured in Israeli attacks since last October. The conflict expanded further on October 1, when Israel initiated an incursion into southern Lebanon.
