Gaza city: The Israeli army launched airstrikes and artillery attacks on multiple locations in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, breaching a standing ceasefire agreement. The attacks were concentrated on areas in eastern Khan Younis, which are designated as the army-controlled yellow zone.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses and an Anadolu correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes and artillery targeted these specific locations. Additionally, Israeli naval forces were reported to have fired upon the coast of Khan Younis. The incident also involved the detention of two fishermen by Israeli forces, and their boat was subsequently destroyed, as confirmed by security sources to Anadolu.

The strikes extended to the eastern regions of Gaza City in the north of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army has been accused of multiple ceasefire violations since an agreement was established on Oct. 10. These actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 386 Palestinians and injuries to 1,018 others.

Israel's military actions in Gaza have led to the deaths of over 70,300 individuals, predominantly women and children, and have left more than 171,000 injured since October 2023.

In a separate incident, an officer from Gaza's Interior and National Security Ministry was killed by unidentified gunmen in the Al-Maghazi camp in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. The ministry announced that security forces have detained a suspect in connection with the killing, with investigations currently underway.
