Gaza: The Israeli army shelled several areas across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, marking another breach in the fragile ceasefire agreement in the region, witnesses reported. Israeli fighter jets targeted eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, while artillery fire persisted, leading to loud explosions and sporadic gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.

According to Anadolu Agency, Gaza City experienced airstrikes and artillery shelling in the Zeitoun and Shujaiya neighborhoods, with explosions resonating throughout the area. In the eastern sections of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, artillery fire and gunfire from Israeli military vehicles were also reported.

As of now, no information has been provided about casualties from these incidents. The targeted regions are part of the areas still under the control of the Israeli army in Gaza, where Tel Aviv maintains a military presence in over 50% of the enclave's territory.

Palestinians have accused Israel of continuous violations of the ceasefire agreement, which ended a two-year Israeli conflict that resulted in the deaths of more than 71,000 people, primarily women and children, and injured over 171,000 others since October 2023. The Gaza government media office reports that at least 418 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,110 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire's inception on October 10.
