Quneitra: The Israeli army shelled the Quneitra countryside in southwestern Syria on Thursday evening, marking the latest violation of the country's sovereignty. Israeli artillery targeted the eastern Tal al-Ahmar area in the Quneitra countryside, as reported by the state-run TV channel Alikhbaria. No immediate reports of injuries or damage have been released following the shelling.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli incursions in Quneitra have intensified recently, with local residents expressing concerns over advances into their farmland. These incursions have led to the destruction of hundreds of acres of forests, arrests of residents, and the establishment of military checkpoints. An Anadolu tally indicates that the Israeli army has conducted 47 raids in southern Syria in November alone.

Government data reveals that since December 2024, the Israeli army has executed over 1,000 airstrikes on Syria and more than 400 cross-border raids into the southern provinces. Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone, contravening the 1974 Disengagement Agreement with Syria.
