Dura:Israeli army forces wounded a Palestinian man on Friday during a shooting incident in the city of Dura, located south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. The incident occurred while the man was inside his vehicle at Al-Alam Square in central Dura.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Israeli forces opened fire on the vehicle and subsequently cordoned off the area. A Palestinian ambulance arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that the man sustained a live-fire wound to the chest as a result of the Israeli raid.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that local ambulance crews treated the injured man, although his identity and the full extent of his injuries have not been disclosed. This incident took place shortly after two Palestinians were killed in a shootout with Israeli forces in the city of Hebron, following allegations of an attack on Israeli occupiers.

In response to these events, the Israeli army announced a complete closure of Hebron and surrounding towns. The West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has experienced increased Israeli military operations since the onset of hostilities in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, resulting in casualties, arrests, and destruction in Palestinian communities.
