Tel aviv: Two Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in the latest violation of the ceasefire agreement, medical sources said. The sources told Anadolu that an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped a bomb on civilians in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, killing two people.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that the Israeli attack occurred in areas from which the army forces had previously withdrawn. They noted no violations had been observed in the army-controlled yellow zone. Additionally, local sources indicated that the eastern parts of Gaza City had been subjected to heavy fire from Israeli helicopters since early Sunday.

The report further elaborated that Israeli military vehicles stationed in army-controlled areas opened fire towards several locations, including the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, eastern Khan Younis, and northern Rafah in southern Gaza. The Gaza Government Media Office reported that the Israeli army has committed 738 ceasefire violations as of December 9.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 401 Palestinians killed and 1,108 injured by the Israeli army since the ceasefire took effect on October 10. This contributes to a total death toll from the Israeli war exceeding 70,900, with nearly 171,200 people injured.
