Ankara: Three people lost their lives in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, marking a new breach of a ceasefire agreement, as reported by the Lebanese Health Ministry. The strike targeted a vehicle in the Kafr Dajjal town within the Nabatieh district, according to the ministry's Public Health Emergency Operations Center.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanon's state news agency NNA noted that Israeli drones had been active over Nabatieh since Tuesday morning. This incident follows a similar occurrence on Thursday, where two Israeli strikes resulted in three fatalities in southern Lebanon.

A ceasefire has been in effect in Lebanon since November, intended to halt the cross-border warfare between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, which had intensified into a widespread conflict in September. Despite the ceasefire, Lebanese authorities have documented nearly 3,000 Israeli violations of the agreement. These violations have led to the deaths of at least 217 individuals and injuries to over 500.

As part of the ceasefire agreement, Israel was required to withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 26. However, the deadline was extended to February 18 after Israel's refusal to comply with the initial timeline.
