Gaza: One Palestinian was killed and others were injured Saturday in an Israeli drone strike targeting the courtyard of a home in the central Gaza Strip, in the latest violation of an ongoing ceasefire, a medical source said. Witnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli drone struck the courtyard in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah.
According to Anadolu Agency, a medical source confirmed that the attack resulted in the death of one Palestinian and injuries to several others. The strike is part of Israel's ongoing violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect in Gaza since October 10, 2025.
Despite a call from US President Donald Trump urging an end to Israeli strikes on the Palestinian enclave, the drone attack occurred, further straining the fragile truce. The Israeli army's offensive since October 2023 has resulted in over 73,000 Palestinian deaths and more than 174,000 injuries.
