Tebnine: An Israeli drone strike killed one Lebanese civilian and wounded 12 others in the southern town of Tebnine, while families fled the nearby town of Mansouri after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning amid renewed escalation. Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that the strike targeted the roof of a prayer hall in the town's cemetery, causing the casualties.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Lebanese Health Ministry later confirmed that the drone strike in Tebnine resulted in one fatality and 12 injuries. This incident coincided with the conclusion of the second round of new negotiations in Rome between Lebanese and Israeli officials.

Earlier reports indicated that the Israeli drone strike in Tebnine triggered fires and detonated unexploded ordnance in the area. In a separate incident, the agency reported that approximately 15 civilian families from the southern village of Mansouri evacuated following a warning from the Israeli military, marking the first such warning in nearly six weeks. The Israeli army announced that it had commenced 'precise strikes' in southern Lebanon in response to alleged Hezbollah ceasefire violations.

The Israeli military's actions followed the detonation of an explosive device near Israeli forces in the Majdal Zoun area, resulting in casualties among the troops. Israeli media reported that four seriously wounded soldiers were evacuated to Rambam Hospital via military helicopter, although the Israeli military has not released an official casualty toll.

Furthermore, the agency noted that Israeli forces ignited fires in the Shmeis area on the outskirts of Kfar Shouba, raising concerns of the blaze spreading due to strong winds and high temperatures. These developments occurred despite a US-brokered framework agreement signed by Beirut and Tel Aviv on June 26, which called for a phased Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army, along with the disarmament of armed groups such as Hezbollah.

The recent Rome meeting was part of the ongoing US-sponsored negotiation process, with five previous rounds held in Washington. According to Lebanon's Health Ministry, Israel's military campaign in Lebanon since March 2 has resulted in 4,333 deaths and 12,250 injuries.

Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, including territory seized decades ago and areas captured during the 2023-2024 war. The current offensive has seen Israeli forces advance more than 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory.
