Nabatieh: Three people, including two paramedics, were injured by Israeli army fire in southern Lebanon, as Tel Aviv continued its daily violations of a US-mediated framework agreement, Lebanese media reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that a Syrian national was shot and wounded by Israeli forces in the town of Ebel El-Saqi in the Marjeyoun district. In a separate incident, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle belonging to the Islamic Health Society, a local ambulance service, on a road in the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, resulting in injuries to two paramedics.

The Islamic Health Society stated that an Israeli strike hit the Al-Barid neighborhood in Nabatieh al-Fawqa as paramedics were inspecting the site of an earlier attack, causing injuries to the paramedics and damage to an ambulance. Additionally, Israeli artillery shelling was reported in the Ali al-Tahir hills on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

On June 26, Lebanon and Israel signed a US-mediated framework agreement intended to facilitate a phased Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territory. However, the agreement lacks a specific timetable for withdrawal, linking the process to the Lebanese army assuming full security responsibility in vacated areas and the disarmament of non-state groups, including Hezbollah.

The US State Department recently announced the commencement of pilot zone operations in the Lebanese towns of Froun, Srifa, and Zawtar Al-Gharbiya under the framework agreement.

Official Lebanese figures indicate that Israeli attacks in Lebanon have resulted in 4,328 deaths and 12,232 injuries since March 2. Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, with some areas held for decades and others seized during the previous conflict between October 2023 and November 2024.
