Israeli Forces and Occupiers Conduct Over 62,000 Attacks in West Bank Since October 7

Hebron:The Israeli army and occupiers have executed a total of 62,916 attacks against Palestinians, their land, and property in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, following an attack on Israel by Hamas. This information was released by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

According to Anadolu Agency, The commission detailed that Israeli forces were accountable for 48,174 of these attacks, while Israeli occupiers were behind an additional 14,742. The region of Hebron experienced the most incidents, with 10,840 attacks, followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 10,594, and Nablus with 10,261.

The report recorded that 66 Palestinians were killed as a result of actions by Israeli occupiers. Furthermore, 1,182 fires were reported, damaging Palestinian land and property, and 147,111 trees were uprooted or damaged, with over 100,000 being olive trees.

Additionally, the commission highlighted attempts by Israeli occupiers to establish 211 new pastoral outposts, with attacks impacting 376 Palestinian villages and communities. Israeli authorities conducted 1,814 demolition operations affecting 5,059 structures, including 1,894 inhabited homes.

Approximately 64,200 dunams (15,864 acres) of Palestinian land were seized through military orders and declarations of 'state land,' marking the highest confiscation rate in three decades. The report further noted the advancement of 415 plans for illegal Israeli settlements, involving tens of thousands of housing units, in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Israeli authorities also issued 97 tenders for 15,760 additional settlement units, including in the E1 area east of Jerusalem. The commission warned that these measures are increasingly accompanied by legislation aimed at imposing 'de facto annexation' and urged international action to stop illegal settlement expansion and hold accountable those responsible.
