Quneitra: Israeli army forces staged a new incursion into southwestern Syria's Quneitra province, marking the latest violation of Syria's sovereignty. A three-vehicle convoy advanced into the village of Bariqa in the Quneitra countryside.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli forces previously raided the same village on Sunday, establishing a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing. The recent actions have drawn no comment from the Israeli army or Syrian authorities.

Israeli military actions in southern Syria have become nearly daily occurrences in recent weeks, involving arrests and temporary checkpoints. These actions have sparked public anger, as Syrians argue that the continued Israeli violations are undermining efforts to restore stability and complicating government attempts to attract investment intended to improve economic conditions.

Despite Syria posing no threat to Israel, Israeli forces have repeatedly entered Syrian territory and launched airstrikes, resulting in civilian casualties and destruction of military sites, vehicles, weapons, and ammunition. Syrian government data reveals that since December 2024, Israel has conducted over 1,000 airstrikes on Syria and more than 400 cross-border raids into the southern provinces.

Following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone, contravening a 1974 agreement with Syria.
