Quneitra: Israeli forces entered two villages in Syria's southern Quneitra province on Saturday, marking the second incursion into the area in less than 24 hours. Earlier in the day, Israeli forces, comprising four military vehicles, advanced into the Abu Madhra farm area west of Sayda al-Golan shortly after midnight.

According to Anadolu Agency, the troops raided a house, detained a civilian, and took him into Israeli-held territory. The reason for the detention remains unknown. Another incursion occurred on Saturday morning when an Israeli force, also consisting of four military vehicles, entered the village of Al-Asha in southern Quneitra. The troops searched several homes before withdrawing.

Israeli forces have been conducting near-daily incursions and military operations in southern Syria. These operations include raids, checkpoints, house searches, and detentions, as reported by Syrian media. Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime on December 8, 2024, Israel declared the 1974 disengagement agreement with Syria void and entered the buffer zone dividing the two nations. Despite Syria's new administration's commitment to the agreement, Israel has persisted with airstrikes and military actions in Syria, leading to civilian casualties and damage to military sites and equipment.
