Beirut: Israeli forces have killed three more Palestinians in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, increasing the death toll since October 2023 to 73,329, as reported by the Health Ministry on Monday. The recent fatalities add to the ongoing tensions and humanitarian crisis in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Health Ministry confirmed that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of three individuals, with two killed by Israeli fire and a third succumbing to previous injuries. In the same period, 12 injured people were transferred to hospitals, bringing the total number of injuries to 174,009 since the conflict began.

Medics reported that eight more Palestinians, including three fishermen, sustained injuries due to Israeli fire on Monday. A medical source revealed that an Israeli drone targeted a civilian gathering near Al-Qarara Bridge in southern Gaza, resulting in two injuries, one of which is serious. Additionally, three individuals, including a girl, were injured by Israeli fire in Al-Mawasi, southwest of Khan Younis.

In Gaza City, three fishermen were wounded following an attack by Israeli forces off the coast. Witnesses described how Israeli gunboats pursued fishing boats near Gaza port during the early hours of Monday, opening fire and injuring the fishermen. Despite strict restrictions imposed by Israel on fishing activities in the Gaza Strip since October 8, 2023, many continue to fish amidst deteriorating living conditions.

The Israeli military continues its occupation east of Gaza City, with military vehicles advancing overnight around Al-Sanafour intersection and moving the 'Yellow Line' markers west along Salah al-Din Street, as reported by local sources and eyewitnesses. The 'Yellow Line,' marked by yellow concrete blocks, delineates areas under Israeli withdrawal from those still occupied, as per ceasefire understandings reached in October 2025.

Despite the ceasefire agreement implemented on October 10, 2025, Israeli operations in Gaza persist, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,203 Palestinians and injuries to 3,900 others. The ceasefire followed two years of conflict initiated by Israel on October 8, 2023, leading to extensive devastation of civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the UN at approximately $70 billion.
