Israeli Forces Raid Al-Fawar Refugee Camp in West Bank, Interrogate Dozens

Hebron: Israeli army forces raided the Al-Fawar refugee camp in the southern West Bank on Thursday amid military escalation across the occupied territory.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that Israeli forces held dozens of youths for field interrogation at the camp south of Hebron city before releasing them. Clashes erupted between residents and Israeli forces, who used live fire and rubber-coated bullets to disperse Palestinians. There were no reported injuries.

The raid is part of Israel's ongoing military operations in the occupied West Bank, where at least 942 people have been killed and over 7,000 others injured in Israeli attacks since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, as reported by the Health Ministry.

Additionally, the Israeli army has conducted a deadly offensive in the northern West Bank since January, resulting in more than 70 Palestinian deaths and the displacement of thousands. The International Court of Justice has declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories illegal, demanding the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
