Beirut: An Israeli airstrike targeted Beirut's southern suburbs in the early hours Monday, as Israel continued its attacks across Lebanon, local media reported. The strike followed an urgent evacuation warning issued by Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, advising residents to leave several neighborhoods in southern Beirut, including Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Haddad, Borj el-Barajneh, Tawhidat al-Ghadir, and Shiyah, according to the Lebanese state news agency NNA.

According to Anadolu Agency, no information was yet available about injuries or damage resulting from the airstrike on Beirut. In a separate incident, Israeli warplanes targeted the town of Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another, as reported by NNA.

The airstrikes are part of a broader Israeli military campaign that includes a ground offensive in southern Lebanon, initiated after a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2. Lebanese authorities have reported that 1,142 people have been killed and 3,315 others wounded since the onset of the Israeli assault.
