Sanaa: The Israeli Navy conducted strikes on Houthi sites in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, specifically targeting the Haziz Central Power Station in the Sanhan district, south of the city. The attack resulted in damage to electricity generators, rendering them non-operational.

According to Anadolu Agency, local sources reported that the strikes led to fires at the facility, which were eventually extinguished by the Civil Defense Authority's firefighting teams. Israel's public broadcaster, KAN, confirmed the involvement of the Israeli Navy in the attack through a security official.

Hizam al-Assad, a member of the Houthi Political Bureau, criticized the strikes on the US social media platform X, accusing Israel of targeting civilian infrastructure, including electricity and water facilities. In contrast, the Israeli army reported intercepting a missile from Yemen, which led to air-raid sirens in central Israel and a temporary closure of the country's airspace.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a statement on X, warning that the Houthis would face severe repercussions for any aggression towards Israel. He indicated that Israeli forces had already targeted Houthi infrastructure and energy sites, describing these actions as only the beginning of further retaliatory measures.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have been actively targeting commercial shipping in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Arabian Sea in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The conflict in Gaza has resulted in over 61,900 fatalities since the offensive commenced in October 2023. There was no immediate response from the Houthis regarding Israel's threats.
