Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to secure reserved spots on the Likud party list for key ministers in the upcoming legislative elections. Netanyahu plans to seek approval for these spots for Defense Minister Israel Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and Minister Haim Katz.

According to Anadolu Agency, Netanyahu is expected to present this proposal to the Likud party secretariat for approval. This announcement comes at a time when Likud lawmakers and ministers are vying for positions on the party's list ahead of the October 27 elections. The Likud list determines the order in which candidates enter the Knesset based on the number of seats the party secures.

The reserved spots aim to ensure that Katz, Saar, and Haim Katz, who also chairs the Likud Central Committee, have secured positions on the party's election slate.
