Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday rejected a 15-point plan approved by US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace for Gaza, insisting that Israeli forces will not withdraw from the Palestinian territory until Hamas is disarmed.

According to Anadolu Agency, Netanyahu stated in a video message following a Cabinet meeting, "Israel rejects the 15-point document published by the Board of Peace for Gaza." He emphasized that the Israeli military would not implement any withdrawal strategy until there is a complete disarmament of Hamas.

Netanyahu further detailed the scope of the required disarmament, specifying that it must encompass "the heavy weapons, the less heavy weapons," and emphasizing Israel's demand for "real disarmament, not fake disarmament." He mentioned ongoing discussions with the United States about the issue, noting that Washington has presented multiple proposals, some of which align with Israel's interests while others do not.

The prime minister's rejection followed the release of a draft agreement by the Board of Peace on July 31. The document outlined principles and mechanisms for implementing the next phase of Trump's Gaza plan, including security, administrative, and transitional arrangements, as well as a proposed political track.
