Israeli Soldiers Wounded in Missile and Drone Incidents in Southern Lebanon

Beirut: Two Israeli soldiers were severely wounded on Sunday afternoon when an anti-tank missile targeted them in southern Lebanon, as reported by the Israeli army on Monday. In a separate incident in the same area, one soldier was severely wounded, and two others sustained moderate injuries after a drone fell near them.

According to Anadolu Agency, another soldier was moderately injured in what the military described as an operational accident in southern Lebanon. All the wounded soldiers were evacuated to hospitals for treatment, and their families have been notified, the army stated.

Regional tensions have escalated since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on February 28, resulting in more than 1,340 casualties, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
