Gaza city: The Israeli army launched a series of strikes on the Gaza Strip on Monday, targeting both southern and northern regions, in a move that further undermines the fragile ceasefire established on Oct. 10. The attacks were reported despite the ongoing truce, highlighting the persistent volatility in the area.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that Israeli airstrikes hit the southern city of Rafah, a location situated within the military-controlled yellow zone. The strikes were accompanied by indiscriminate fire from Israeli military vehicles directed toward northern Rafah.

Moreover, Israeli artillery targeted several sites in eastern Khan Younis, with helicopters providing aerial fire support, witnesses said. Eastern Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip was also attacked by helicopters, and areas east of Gaza City experienced gunfire from military vehicles.

Gaza's Health Ministry reported that over 390 individuals have been killed and more than 1,060 injured due to Israel's violations of the ceasefire since Oct. 10. Overall, since October 2023, Israeli operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of nearly 70,700 people, predominantly women and children, and have left over 171,100 injured, despite the declared truce.
